BONFANTI is pleased to announce that the first 8.7m BOPP film line supplied to BIAXIAL FILMS S.P.A operating under the commercial brand Biaxial Films Packaging, has successfully entered full-scale production at its facility in Algeria. This milestone confirms the successful industrialization of a project that plays a strategic role within the Maghreb region, representing one of the most important investments in the local flexible packaging industry and a key reference point for future developments.
The project has been developed through a strong and structured collaboration between BONFANTI and Biaxial Films Packaging, ensuring a progressive ramp-up phase, full system validation, and stable integration of the downstream handling solution within the production environment. Continuous cooperation between the technical teams has been essential to achieving operational consistency and long-term reliability.
Although the line has been operational for several months, the transition to full production marks the completion of a critical phase, confirming the robustness of the overall system and the effectiveness of the joint engineering approach adopted during execution and commissioning.
A defining aspect of the project is its future-oriented design; the plant layout and handling systems have been engineered with scalability in mind, allowing for the seamless integration of an additional production line within the same infrastructure. The automation concept ensures a “soft integration” approach, enabling future expansion while maintaining operational continuity and efficiency. This strategic flexibility positions the facility as a solid platform for upcoming investments, which are already under consideration as part of the long-term development strategy of Biaxial Films Packaging and the Ouzir Family industrial vision.
